It’s been a long time since I’ve been on this site. I know I haven’t updated in a while, but finding the time and inspiration to continue this blog has been tough.
So, with 2015 rolling around the corner, I’ve decided to make some changes.
I’m creating a new blog and abandoning this one. I’ve realized that I want to post something more than just fanfiction, so a fresh start is the thing I need.
Don’t worry, the content already here isn’t going to just disappear; I will be moving them to different sites.
Of Shadows and Fire: the story itself is currently posted on Quotev.com, but I will also be posting the edited chapters on Tumblr (I’ll post the links before I take down this site) as well as the pictures and character notes.
Remixed Mythology and the Lexicon will be residing on my new WordPress blog. Aside from personal posts, I will be posting original content–short stories, poetry, and maybe something from my work-in-progress novels.
Thanks to everyone who decided to follow this blog! I hope you’ll enjoy my new one as much as you liked this one.
Hi everyone! I’ve got great news:
First of all, I’m in the process of finishing Chapter 22, thanks to one of my friends, who is my self-declared (he volunteered, really) fight analyst and is helping me with the mechanics of the fight scenes.
Second, due to the age of this fic and a change in my writing style, I’ve decided to give OSAF a bit of a makeover–an improvement really. I won’t be taking any chapters down, but I will edit them separately then paste them in place of the existing chapters. The basic plot is still in place, but there may be some definite changes, especially in the arc with Kai and the twins.
Hopefully, I will be posting soon.
Hi, everyone! Oh, gosh, it has been a long time since I’ve updated–literally a year since I stopped writing OSAF–and I’m so so so sorry. I wasn’t expecting people to still be reading it, but thank you all for that.
I’d like to reassure everyone: I HAVE NOT ABANDONED THIS FIC. RL has just kept me very busy, and my muse has not been around.
I will update as soon as humanly possible (not now, because I’m in the middle of exams again) but come this summer, expect more word from me.
Once again, thank you all so much for your patience and for reading OSAF.
Current time: Season 1, Ep. 12 and 13
Important announcement: I’m going on a hiatus for a few weeks. For details, click here.
Black and Blue
Kurami walked the halls of the ship, listening to the many sounds echoing through the metal–the humming of the engines, the clank-clank of the crew’s footsteps.
Her own footsteps were always light, even with her boots, and years of training kept her as silent as a shadow.
The bender grinned to herself at the apt description as she reached her destination: the door that led to the deck. It opened suddenly, revealing an irritated-looking Fire Prince.
Yep, you read that right.
As of today, I will be going on hiatus until late June.
My final exams are in a few weeks, so I’m giving up all blogging, story-writing, and fanfiction time in favor of studying. I’m not completely done with lessons yet, but I’m going to be taking the time to organize and maybe rewrite some of my notes. After that, my actual exams are gonna take nearly two weeks. Once that’s over and done with, I’ll start writing again.
Chapter 22, “Confrontation,” will be up on Sunday, June 23 and the schedule will be back to normal–well, unless something else comes up…hopefully not.
(This will probably happen again, if I guess my schedule for next year.)
Current time: Season 1, Ep. 9
Did I say Tuesday? Sorry! It’s been a busy couple of weeks.
“Your move, General Iroh,” said Kurami.
Iroh moved his tile forward, ending the game. He chuckled as he reset the pieces.
“You are improving, Miss Kurami,” he commented as they began again.
“What is the meaning of this mutiny!?” yelled Zuko, storming inside and advancing on the helmsman. “No one told you to change course!” Continue reading
It was…exciting. Funny. Sad. Shocking.
All in all, it was awesome. I’m trying hard not to asdfghjkl on you guys, but honest, in the words of Tom Hiddleston, it was ” outstandingly outstanding.”
(On a side note, Chap 20 is being delayed till Tuesday. Sorry!)
